LTL: Introducing Carlo Zoppo

July 2014 marks LTL’s 10th anniversary. As we approach that milestone, we are in the process of some exciting developments which are designed to ensure that we continue to deliver on our longstanding commitment to provide our clients with specialist legal services of the highest quality.

As the first of these developments, we are delighted to announce that Carlo Zoppo has joined LTL as a Practice Director.

Carlo is a highly regarded specialist in environment, planning, and administrative law, with over 16 years’ practice experience in government and the private sector. During his career, Carlo has worked as a special counsel in a highly regarded mid tier law firm and before that as an in-house legal officer for the National Parks and Wildlife Service of NSW. Carlo has also acted as in-house counsel in various State government agencies on a secondment basis.

Carlo’s extensive experience includes advising and representing clients in matters covering administrative law, public information law, contaminated land, waste management, flora and fauna, climate change, risk management, incident response, due diligence, environmental management systems, environmental litigation and planning law.

Carlo’s significant litigation experience in the Land and Environment Court, the Local Court, the NSW ADT and NCAT will add considerable additional expertise and depth to LTL’s litigation team. One of the high points of Carlo’s career was conducting the first prosecutions for threatened species offences, including in Director-General National Parks & Wildlife and Wilkinson, which is an often quoted authority in relation to environmental prosecutions.

On behalf of the LTL team, we would like to welcome Carlo to LTL and wish him all the best for with his new role. Carlo can be contacted as follows: Telephone: 02 8235 9705 or Email:
