Lawyer (graduate – 3 years PAE) – Planning, Environment and Government

We have industry recognized specialties in environmental planning, infrastructure funding, major projects and admin law. Our work covers litigation, complex advising and transactional agreements.
Your place in our team
Via a series of 8 month rotations, you will work directly with the firm’s partners – Dr Lindsay Taylor, Megan Hawley, Stuart Simington, Katie Mortimer & Liam Mulligan – along with the firm’s senior and mid-level lawyers. You will be supported by a fully resourced team of business support staff.
You will be able to work across a range of diverse matters, including.
- development appeals and judicial review in the Land & Environment Court
- environmental prosecutions
- planning & development law and projects
- developer contributions and planning agreements
- biodiversity & threatened species
- pollution and contamination
- public sector governance and administration
Your background
You are a talented and hard-working young lawyer, who:
- is recently admitted (in the last 3 years) or soon will be
- has been exposed to planning & environment law, property or government law, at university or in practice, and are excited by the intellectual challenges posed by these areas of law
- has an impressive academic record with demonstrated excellent statutory interpretation and legal research skills
- has the ability and desire to work collaboratively in a dynamic, co-operative and harmonious team
- has the drive to be the best lawyer you can
