Elaine Yeo is a Lawyer with Lindsay Taylor Lawyers.
Elaine graduated with a distinction from the University of Sydney in a Bachelor of Arts/Laws and was admitted to practice in March 2019.
She currently assists senior lawyers on a broad range of matters, including preparing written advice to local councils on general commercial law, administrative law, powers under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and Local Government Act 1993 and native title obligations under the Crown Land Management Act 2016. She has also provided support in various proceedings in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and in Class 1 proceedings in the Land and Environment Court.
Elaine has been part of the firm’s practice in native title law and has worked closely with the Senior Partner, Dr Lindsay Taylor and Special Counsel, Frances Tse. As part of this practice, Elaine has been involved in the preparation of written advices in relation to native title matters and, in particular, the investigation of whether proposed uses of land are valid under the provisions of the Native Title Act 1993.
