Jennifer Chenhall is Special Counsel with Lindsay Taylor Lawyers, with over 20 years’ experience in government and local government sectors.
Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Sydney and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England. Jennifer also completed the NSW Police Force Prosecutor Education Program in 2002.
Jennifer has substantial experience in the fields of enforcement, compliance, privacy and governance, having worked in a number of Government and Local Government roles both in NSW and interstate. Prior to joining Lindsay Taylor Lawyers, Jennifer worked as General Counsel at a major metropolitan Council and has also held senior legal and prosecuting roles at Transport for NSW, the NSW DPP and the NSW Police Force.
Jennifer is a highly skilled and determined solicitor advocate, whose significant litigation experience includes conducting prosecutions in the Local Court, District Court and the Supreme Court. Jennifer also regularly appears in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal in matters under the GIPA Act, firearms legislation and other matters.
Jennifer also provides advice to local government on issues arising under the Local Government Act, including governance, probity, privacy and the GIPA Act.
Jennifer was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2008 and the High Court of Australia in 2009
