About

Katie Mortimer is a Partner with Lindsay Taylor Lawyers.

Katie has a Bachelor of Science/Laws with Honours from Macquarie University and practices across the fields of planning, environment, local government and administrative law.

Katie has acted for both government authorities and private clients and appears as solicitor advocate in a range of development appeals in the Land and Environment Court, as well as acting for clients in judicial review proceedings concerning challenges to the making of planning instruments and development consents.

Katie has also prosecuted environmental offences in both the Local Court and the Land and Environment Court, and acted for our government authority clients in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Outside of litigation, Katie undertakes a range of transactional and advisory work. Katie has particular expertise advising on environmental legislation, including the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and Coastal Management Act 2016.

Katie was admitted to practice as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of NSW in 2016 and is an Accredited Specialist in Planning & Environment Law as regulated by the Law Society of NSW’s specialist accreditation board.
