About

Liam Mulligan is a Partner with Lindsay Taylor Lawyers.

He has a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney and practices in all areas of planning, environmental law, local government and property law.

He conducts development appeals in the Land & Environment Court, as well as acting in the prosecution and defence of environmental crimes and enforcement matters. He has acted as prosecutor for local councils and public authorities in Local Court and the Land and Environment Court.

As well as litigation, Liam also undertakes a wide range of transactional and advisory work. This includes advice on a wide range of planning and environmental matters, as well as property interests and disputes (including the compulsory acquisition of land and other interests). Liam also has significant experience in the drafting of VPAs, Works in Kind agreements, construction contracts (particularly those involving a local government authority) and other bespoke agreements involving local and state government entities.

Liam was admitted to practice in 2014 and is an Accredited Specialist in Planning & Environment Law as regulated by the Law Society of NSW’s specialist accreditation board.

Liam was recognised as a Rising Star in Planning & Environment in the 2022 Doyles Guide and included in the Best Lawyers 2024 “Ones to Watch” list.
