Proposed Expansion Of General Exempt Development Code
The Department of Planning is proposing to expand the range of signs that do not require development approval if certain standards are met.
A discussion paper has been released by the Department, seeking feedback on the proposed classification of a number of business identification signs and advertising signs as exempt development under State Environmental Planning Policy (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008. The paper also seeks feedback on the proposed development standards for these signs.
The closing date for submissions is 6 May 2011.
